Anglomaniac
I don't like Tiffany. I don't really *get* Louis Vouitton. I don't understand people's obsession with expensive eye liners or people who freak out over expensive perfumes.
Most people's expensive taste makes me vomit. I don't like pricey things for the sake of them being pricey. I refuse to spend a shit load of money on something simple like a pair of jeans I will probably only wear to Starbucks, Sainsburys or to some other suburban shop.
However, while sobbing at everything in sight at Liberty this past week, I finally realized the inevitable.
I have expensive taste.
My taste may not be the obvious expensive taste, but I've come to realize that everything that I coo and sob over lately is made by one woman.
Dame Vivienne Westwood.
I usually don't have a wank over a designer, but I realized that anytime I see something online or in a shop window or even in random shops and I stop, run my eyes and fingers over the fabric and whisper a hushed, "holy crap I need this." to myself, it's by Vivienne Westwood. Or more specifically, it's from her Anglomania collection.
Take for example this shoe that I fell in love with at London Fashion Week:
I mean, look at it. It's a wax seal. The shoe is made out of rubber. And it smells like grape bubble gum. (True story, have you smelled these shoes?) What is not to love!?
If Santa were to only bring me ONE thing this Christmas, I would like these shoes. I am a US size 8, UK size 6, thank you very much.
I hate it when women say "oh if I had this my life would be so much better" - but, to be honest, if I had enough money to kit out the basics in my closet with Anglomania pieces, my life would be that much better.
I wouldn't have to think about what to wear. NOT having to worry about what to wear or having enough money to buy this that or the other would be fucking FANSASTIC.
One day, folks. ONE. DAY.
In my dreams, ladies in gentleman, all of this would be mine...
Princess Swing Coat in Charcoal
There are so many things in the collection I'd love to have, it hurts.
It PHYSICALLY HURTS.

the first blouse and that check dress are a big winorama (gaga ohlala).
i like to think i don't have expensive tastes either, but the older i get, the more i hate feeling and looking "cheap". So i would like to try and spend less in h&m and start saving up for the real deal. It would also mean replacing a mountain of stuff by a few quality pieces. I like the idea of a grown up fuss free closet.
ONE DAY.
